Default head question

Just bought a ls1 out of a camaro and the heads are 241's and on the back of each head it is stamped RAW. Can someone tell me what the RAW stands for or is it just a stock 241. Sorry if this is a stupid question just trying to learn.

Could have been replacement "RAW" or heads without hardware and stamped as such. They look very clean for a used engine. Also they are stamped with a code under the 241 and I know mine are not. They might be replacement heads or head. How many miles on that?

It came from a family friend that had a 2001 camaro. It was totaled (rear ended) and it had a little over 32,000 miles on it. It has been sitting on a stand in his garage for years. He wanted to get rid of it so he let me have it for $500.00.

I believe the RAW stamp has no designation on the heads port volume or combustion chambers-------It is STILL a low compression and small intake port CC head---Very common
on early F Body cars------If you want a head that has more flow and slightly higher of a compression ratio you would want a "243" head off of the early Z06 engines---The compression ratio is about 1/2 point higher and the intake ports are larger from a stock 190 to the 243 which is 210----Not to mention the 243 head has lighter sodium intake valves
