Need Help C5 Z06 "Reduced Engine Power"
Really need help. I have an '04 Z06. About 2 weeks ago drove to friends, when trying to leave car cranked fine but would not start, Said, "Reduced Engine power, Service Traction System" read in forum probably bad battery. So, put a power pak jumper on battery and started right up. So, just bought new battery (old battery tested bad), put it in and same problem, same words on instrument panel gauges go up then down to zero (like the gas gauge) BUT, can't even jump start it now. Any help I can get would be so much appreciated!

Pull and post ALL your codes. Include the H or C or HC that follow each 5 character code. List the codes under the sensor they appear under.. ie 10 - PCM or 28 - TCS or 40 - BCM..... etc.

So I had a bad battery, as I knew that I had said, but when changing our battery, I must have broken a very TINY wire that connects directly to the negative battery terminal. It did not look broken, only mashed flat in a spot. But, after CLOSE examination, I found that only the plastic insulation was holding it together. This may not Be found on the average model, as this car has Supercharger, Boost gauges, O2 sensor gauge(fuel mixture), & a few other small mods, & I believe that this wire probably is associated with one of those mods, but not certain. In any case, after fixing broken wire...VROOOM!!! Away we go!! So, just wanted to say Thank You & post my experience in case it could possibly help someone else!!
