Default Instrument Panel & A/C Control Lights

This evening, I noted that there are lights out on the little buttons around the upper right side of the instrument panel. Two of them out. I also noticed that all of the lights for the AC controls buttons are out. I have no idea how to change these bulbs or t/s why all of these are out. Everything else seems to be burning properly. Suggestions? thanks in advance.

Steve

The HVAC lights are soldered to the circuit board inside the unit. These can be easily replaced, there are 14 of them.

The lights behind the DIC buttons (and HUD/dimmer control) have a twist lock base on them.

Both can be replace with type 7219 lamps like the following:

Radio Shack if there is one in your area also caries these.

The DIC lights you would just remove the old bulb from the base along with the blue silicone cover and put that on the new bulb.

If you are in Southern California I can help with the replacement.

Am not accomplished at soldering but did (finally) succeed at restoring hvac display. Now working on replacing bulbs. Question: how do i clean old solder out of holes in board so i can insert new bulb leads?
Thanks

When I replaced my bulbs I heated up the solder with the iron enough to pull the old bulbs out just by rocking them back and forth. Then I heated up whatever solder was left in the hole with the iron and reamed the hole clear with a regular old straight pin.

Hi all, I see this thread related to DIC and A/C control bulbs; Does anyone know the setup for bulbs inside the stereo? I have a few bulbs out there, as well. Thanks.
