It's been awhile since I put mine one, but...
Once you get the instructions from their website, something I didn't think to do that would be great would be to use masking tape to mark where you're supposed to cut. You can then draw with a ball-point pen or something onto the tape and see exactly where to cut a lot easier.
As I remember, they offered a cardboard template that helped you know exactly where to mark (marking the spot was the killer cause I didn't think of the tape), but you can probably figure this out by taking off the factory filter and laying the top half of the new filter housing on your shroud so that the MAF housing end is very close (like almost flush) to outer edge of it. The breathless filter neck comes up through the hole and onto the MAF.
I used an exacto knife to cut the shroud, and managed to get my cordless drill in there to make the holes for the bolts. BTW, remember you're cutting the shroud to be flush with the INSIDE of the casing, not the outer edge.
