Mixing tires
I have never been a fan of having different tires on my vehicles, maybe some ocd there, but I was wondering what yall's opinions are about it. So I got the car out today and before I could get it on the road ai realize my drivers side rear tire is flat, I have Bridgestone Potenza re760's. I put air back in it and within 20 mins it lost almost 3psi. It might be repairable, I haven't pulled it off and looked yet, but I'm thinking about just putting a ser of Nitto NT05's on the back. Just wondering what you guys think about that. My tires only have about 12k miles on them btw, the stealership put them on back when I bought it.

The PO of my Z had just replaced my rears with new Supercars... very costly to match the almost bald fronts, but I only did so to maintain a front rear balance. Next set will be my choice.

The front tires are in great shape and I need 4 new tires on my truck so hopefully they can just repair the tire. I would hate to not use the front tires because of how much tread is left.

see where the leak is coming from and go from there... you can run 2 different tires as long as the fronts match and the rears match... many people do this with no issues, myself included... I have ran drag radials on the rear of my car for probably the last 4-5 years and they have never matched the front tires

I would replace those if they were on my car, either do a rear pair or all 4 if they all look like that

Bridgestone potenza re760. On the car when I bought it five years ago. I don't know how long they had been on the car but looked brand new as far as tread

Branded on the sidewall of each tire (hopefully tire is not mounted so it is facing the center of the car) is a manufacture date. Here is how to read the date:

Sounds like they are at least 6 years old and therefore the manufacturer is not likely to do much if anything for you. Worth a try as the worst they can say is no.

I can give that a try, all 4 look like that so it's a possibility. If that doesn't work I believe I will wait til spring and order 4 of the continental extreme contact dw. Those seem like nice tires.

yeah that is easily repairable, a combination plug/patch works the best in my opinion... however I would still look into replacing the tires in the near future due to their condition

Nah the tires were brand new when I bought the car, other than a few joyride test drives I'm sure. I've never really pushed the car in curves since I bought it. I would say the dry rotting is from me not driving it enough. :/
