Aluminum bezel gauges
For those who have installed these, how do they look at night? I saw the two pictures Shawn from LAPD has on their web site on the product page for this and the bezels looked purple. Is that really the case or was that just the way their picture turned out?

Yes, they really do glow purple at night time. What you are seeing is the reflection of the factory blacklight tubes located on both sides of the factory instrument guage clusters. Since the aluminum guage bezels are a shiny silver, the blacklight that is mainly meant to light up the numbers at night, bounces off of the bezels creating this purple glow which looks trick! These bezels should have been a factory addition on the Vettes to give it that European look. Every Corvette should have these bezels. We are crazy about them!
We will be installing a set of these on our 2003 Z06 that should be here sometime in the middle of October.

I dont have this yet but I did install indiglo gauges. The C5 dash unit has a UV light (blacklight) that emits a purple hue. That's why my gauges are purple when I switch off the indiglo gauges.

That is correct. You can't get them not to glow at night. That is just the way they will shine. I love the way they look at night. They look awesome!
