Radio randomly shuts off
Was sitting at a stop light a kenwood radio shut off. Heard a pop from speakers. Then after 15 seconds radio came back on but all memory was reset like a new radio. Then radio is a replacement 1.5 dinn. With vet oem wiring used.

Have you checked your battery and connections? You may have a week battery or connections. Everything may be shutting off momentarily. You're just noticing the radio because you hear the "pop" and losing your audio. Just a thought.

Alternator would also be supplying electrical power as well as charging the battery ay the same time. Everything has to work as a system. If you have a week link would result in such non desirables such as intermittent electrical power lost.
