So I posted this on a group on Facebook and got ideas that it could be the pilot bearing, or the throwout bearing, or just a noisy aftermarket clutch Or possible torque tube bearings. But it don't make any noise when the clutch is engaged and I'm driving.
It makes the growling noise when the clutch pedal is pushed to the floor. Whether it's in neutral or any gear. But as soon as I let off the clutch and start moving it's gone.
What do you guys think?
It's an 02, monster stage 3 clutch, tick performance clutch master cylinder, arp flywheel, all with less than 8k miles on them. I didn't install any of it so I don't know if the original TO bearing was reused or not.
And yea my clutch pedal is super squeeky when it's cold. I gotta find s way to get some grease in there.
Hard to tell from your video—sound is kinda muddy. It's hard to capture these types of sounds. Can you tell if it's coming from front or rear? I'd get the car up on jackstands or ramps and see if you can tell if the noise is coming from the bellhousing area or the rear of the drivetrain.
