Blackwing are the most common and have the highest performance of the non-cold air setups from what I've seen on the forum. It mounts above the radiator shroud and are as safe as the stock setup.

Dont drive through 6 " of water and you should be fine. In AZ it monsoons and flash floods. Just avoid large puddles

I have a Vortex but I fabricated a rain shield for it when i know it will rain and i must drive. Not hard to do. For me just a little piece of mind.

I ran a vortex for 2 1/2 years and 49k miles as my only car - rain or shine.

I never had a problem with rain.

You have to TRY to scoop up water with it, just stay out of absurd puddles.
