Ok guys so I just bought a 04' from a buddy. He kinda neglected it and it got left in the snow overnight and started throwing a door ajar code. When I get in it I shut the door and it stays like that for 30 seconds or so and then pops back with the interior lights turning on. I can't lock the doors otherwise the alarm will go off a minute or two later. Only thing he did to it was replace the window motor on that side so I'm not sure if maybe water or condensation made its way somewhere. Any ideas where I need to focus on?
So if moisture got into the window/ door lock/ power mirror switch could that cause the issue? When the window motor was replaced the switch cracked and the rubber split and I know it could have gotten some in it.
It is damp in the driver side foot well but not on the passenger side. I have been able to narrow it down to the driver side is the one acting up. I don't think the window was adjusted right because it does seem like it leaks between it and the weather stripping and I've seen it drip on the switch which Is why I asked. I'll be looking further into the wiring you've pointed me to in the next couple of days. Thanks for the help!
