Rear Muffler clamp/hanger
The metal strap around the right rear muffler appears to have separated from the hanger and the muffler is hanging down a few inches. Is this a simple repair that a Midas muffler shop can do? Thanks

Check my post a couple threads down. This can be rewelded. Don't drive this way and when you do, use a coat hanger or wire to support the muffler in the mean time. If you don't, the pipe will break off at the flange in short order.
If that strap is missing, you will have to remove the muffler and fabricate a new mount.

Thanks for the heads up. I brought the car to Midas and they were able to remove the muffler and weld the bracket as you recommended. So far so good. I appreciate your guidance.
