Stalling right out in gear
Hey guys I have a 97 M6 and having some issues. To give a background on it, it was sitting for maybe 2 weeks so when I went to start it up it was dead. I needed to use a jump box and once I got it started the wipers went on and will not go off. I pulled the fuse until I have some time to work on it.
I let it run for 20 minutes or so and when I went to pull away I put in in gears and move about 5 feet then car stalls out. I tried reverse and 1st and same issue both times. No codes and no lights.
What could it be? My clutch is on its last legs but would this happen over night?
Before this issue, the car ran great and only 85K on it with H/C/I mods.

It sounds a lot like the column lock issues. Especially since you had a dead battery.
One of the recalls flashed a 2mph fuel cutoff into it. As soon as you start to move, it shuts off fuel.
I would suggest getting a good charge on the battery or replacing it and see if you still have the problems.

So you're saying give the battery a good charge then try again? Why would replacing the battery resolve the issue?
It makes sense what you are predicting though. I am not getting the Pull key and wait 10 seconds.
