gears not engaging in reverse?
I've got this intermittent problem that happens maybe every 4 or 5 times I put it in reverse. It seems to happen most after I've been driving and then need to back in somewhere. Basically, I stop and put it in reverse, but when I give it gas, the engine just revs. The car is still in neutral even though I've shifted to R. I have to let the engine come down, shift out of R and then back in and the car moves fine.
Since my warranty is expiring in November, I'm trying to get every little quirk taken care of. Any ideas what might be causing this?

My 01 Z06 was grinding going into reverse and would also pop out of reverse very often. They replaced the gear and the syncro. It works fine now. Sounds like a trip to the dealer is in order. Don't forget to have them check the diff for leaks.
