Does anyone know how much quieter the Magnaflow would be over the Stingers? I have headers, no cats. Stingers sound great, but wife isn't overly fond of them. I really like the dual tips vs quad, but only Magnaflow I've seen is the cat back. really just want to change axle back.

A bunch quieter. I have Borlas on the track car and wife approved Magnaflows on the convertible. She actually like the low but authoritive sound of the Magnaflows.

Does the convertible have cats? I know with cats the Magnaflow is fairly quiet. Just don't want it too quiet.
Depends which one, magnaflow system 16732 (quad tips)is apparently not much louder than stock, however the 15763 is quite loud (that's the one I have on my z06) and I doubt it would be much quieter (if at all) compared to the borla stingers.
Bill, we currently offer 2 different Street axle-back systems that fit your 98, with the primary difference being muffler size. The 15713 system has larger mufflers, which will make it more quiet than 16732. We see by your mod list that you also have LTH's and X pipe, so with either of these axlebacks, you will have a sound that is significantly louder than stock. You can find more info on both a the links below. If you have and questions we can answer, please let us know!
I had the larger MF catback on a car with H/C, no cats, and an X pipe. It was quieter than my previous Stingers, no headers, or H/C by a wide margin, but it sounded sweet.
