Default New Fuel Filter Trick...HELP!
Here's a new one for me. Just changed the fuel filter on a 2002 and now it barely starts/runs. No MILs but took a reading and showed lean on both banks. To me this means the fuel filter is bad but can't figure out HOW???
Has anyone ever seen/heard of this before?

AFAIK the fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator are one unit. I would check the fuel pressure at the rail.

Were the fuel pumps working fine before you changed it?

not possible fuel lines are different diameters
