Unsure yet but thinking of gettin headers in the future might be a winter mod. Just want to know your opinions on which is the best? And will they void my factory/extended warrenty?
Because of the Corsa Ti's, some of the other choices were off limits to me. Still, I got the SW's for an awesome price, and they make headers for some very big tuners...we'll see how they do monday. :yesnod:
This is very much a personal interpetation as to "what are the best" but the FLPs that I installed are everything that I would of expected and then some :yesnod: Quality, fit, finish & performance :smash:
Since we are on the subjet, is it wise for headers only, without a new cam or new heads? I seem to remember some posts about a loss of HP with headers only.
I switched from tri-flow shortties and bassani to FLP's long tube flanged system both pushing through the tri-flow PRT exhaust system with speedway tips AND got an immediate improvement in sound along with an increase in performance. The neatest feature is when you decide to run without "cats" the changeover with the FLP system is about 45 minutes to 1 hour - 4 u-clamps - and can be done in your garage with the car up high enough in the front for you to slide under. If you remove your cats use the FLP sims and you should see no codes.
Good Luck - JR
I'd go with whichever fits your budget. I'd like to know who's gained what kind of power with headers. I got 27RWHP (thru cats) with my no name brand $800 ones. I already had a cam in there so that probably helped.

I agree, I made 460 rwhp with the cheapest mid length F-body headers out there (macs 450.00) but they were sure ugly. But for this car with a lot of miles I wanted new cats and no welding so I picked the FLPs and I am happy with the decision.
Not sure which are best, but for $800, stainless LT headers from Stainless Works, that produce around 22RWHP (Cruzmisl's dyno) is a good enough deal for me!
