Default C5 Interior Resto question

Gents - I'm new to GM cars having just grabbed a 99 C5 6spd targa top - the car was in honestly shockingly good condition, and just needs a few little things restored on the interior, and a little paint.

I'm working on the interior now, have a couple questions; I've been through the FAQ thread and already answered a few there, thanks, but any help here would be hugely appreciated:

1. Rear hatch defroster leads: my driver side defroster lead broke off the clip attached to the glass (wire snapped) - before I start messing with it myself, are there any known-good procedures to reattach this in a factory-like fashion?

2. Roof stowage retainer pin rubber caps: I cannot find these sold separately anywhere; does anyone know of a DIY to replace these with an alternative component, or fab your own?

3. Seat restoration: Both seats suffer from rocking (I read the DIY, it looks very involved...) and while upholstery itself is quite good, naturally all the bladders are dead. In your expert opinion(s)... is it worth bother to replace these bladders, or would you recommend just throwing a pair of reasonably affordable aftermarket seats in there and calling it a day?

4. Not technically interior but - Wipers: while they do work, there are some broken cables laid into the underside of the wipers, apparently running to a sensor on the blade - is this a rain detection sensor, and if so is it worth replacing and rewiring? I honestly don't have a problem manually operating wipers, have done so my whole life...

Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks guys!

If I remember correctly many big name Auto Parts stores carry kits to repair broken defroster leads

Try hitting up Home Depot or Lowes and look for door stops. The screw into the baseboard molding and have rubber tips. It might cost you a couple of bucks but the rubber tips are removable and it might just be what your looking for

Do a search here on the forum, many useful info on replacing OEM bladders with replacement blood pressure cuffs

there is no rain detection for the wipers on a C5. Are you sure they are not the hoses for the washers? Maybe post a picture so we can see what your talking about
