Before I utilize the BFH approach I though I would ask what I'm missing.
The car is on the lift. Just finished replacing the cam chain and gears so I have easy access to the top and bottom nuts holding the mounts in, all of which are removed.
I have a jack and piece of 2x10 under the oil pan. When I lift with the jack the engine does not separate from the mounts and tries to lift the front of the car off of the lift pads.
Assuming it's the car that's in your signature, a '99, I would be tempted to think that after 17-18 years of contact, the two pieces of metal have "welded" themselves together, and maybe a little "gentle persuasion" with a pry bar is needed.
