car cover
I have been using California Car Cover, and just replaced a non woven cover that lasted about four years in the California sun, as advertised. I replaced it with one designed for more sun protection, and the fabric is thinner, feels unusual. Good for me, since it will stow more easily.
The cover fits my convertible well, they are a long established cover company, perhaps the first. Before these guys, people used surplus parachute canopies. My last cover fit well , but had enough slack to remove easily. Only in very high winds did it blow off, I left it unsecured, and the body shape helped.
In my area the car swap meets had a knock off non woven cover that looks like the four layer dupont cover material I replaced, non fitted, for $50 bucks in grey. The corvette uses a size three in most generic covers.
I also like the cheap non fitted TYvek covers to keep the sun out, because they are white, and cheap, relatively. The same stuff is used for disposable haz mat suits, it doesn't breath, so I only used it for reflective sun protection for the good cover, and weather is mild here. I had one that came with my used car, a budgee of some brand close to that. It was size three and although non permeable , the wind blew it into a flapping balloon often enough I didn't worry about trapped condensation, plus it was never on the paint, just the thick old breathable cover. With my new cover, I might not bother, since the same money could have been applied to a better cover to begin with.
An outstanding Cajun sailor I worked with used to sing the song Audubon zoo, a fine souvenir I sing to this day. the guy had a gift for joy.
Sorry I was not more concise, I'm working on it.
