Climate control problem- all vents only
My 2000 decided to put the A/C out through all vents/ducts (mostly the defroster) regardless which mode setting. I found the problem....no vacuum to the system inside the car. The culpret was that the battery positive terminal bled all over the two (2) plastic vacuum lines underneath the battery and behind the PCM. The lines melted and therefore no vacuum. I've had it with Delco batteries. This one lasted about 20 months and was a warranty replacement for the original one which failed at 17 months. Never again will I use a Delco battery. Now I'm worried about potential damage to the PCM and associated wiring (especially since I have no warranty left).

This has been a problem in the past. You should at the least go in and clean everything with baking soda/water. Need to protect the computer from future damage. they sell a spray just for this which might be better. then recoat with black sealer that the dealers use.
