Default just finished cam install and got an dtc code, need help

I just fired up the car after my 224 cam install.

I got the following dtc code along with the check engine light.

DTC C1255 EBTCM Internal Malfunction

does anyone know what to look for? I am assuming this is an ABS related code? I did have to move the abs module out of the way tpo remove the rack, but I am sure that I recennected all the wires. Any help is appreciated

thanks

EBTCM Internal Malfunction (ABS/TCS Disabled)
Looks like a wire issue.

Try resetting all the codes then fire it up again.

I had a few codes my first time and after a reset they have not come back.

ABS light was on and well as the CE Light.

Did you make sure to line the steering wheel up properly like it was before you disconnected it? If that sensor is off active handling will freak out I beleive.

jmX, so dropping the steering rack requires setting the steering wheel to the same place as when you began? Did I get that right?

Yes, the steering shaft can only spin so far each direction before it breaks wires, and the steering rack maxing out is what keeps you from turning it too far. If you want your steering wheel to be lined up right and air bags to work, you need to make sure you lock the steering wheel in place at full dead center before you disconnect the shaft, then when you reconnect, make sure both wheels are facing straight on to get the shaft on right. You can only get it off by 180 degree intervals, as the shaft is sorta keyed.

Jmx,

I did tie the sterring wheel in place and the wheel did not turn during the instalation. but thanks for the tip. I had heard about active handling getting screwed up, but I didn't know it also messed up the airbag.

My car is an frc without any options, so I am sure it isn't an active handling code (cassete player and manual seats...the true billy bob corvette!)

I am anxious to get out of work so I can go back and double check the wire connections

I double checked the 2 connections at the abs unit and they were fine, so I cleared the codes and the code has not come back yet after 105 miles of driving!
