Feedback? Breathless Perf Prod's short throw shifter?
I'm currently trying to narrow down my choices for a new shifter for my '01 MN6 and I was wondering if anyone has installed the short throw shifter from Breathless?
I see all kindsa people using the Hurst, etc... but I was curious about this one as I really like the looks, potential function, etc. If you're not familiar with it, here's a link... http://www.breathlessperformance.com...ts/100-262.asp

Finally!
Now that's the kinda feedback I was hoping to hear. The price is steep, granted, but damn it looks like a quality piece.
Oh, and Noggz, that's about what I was planning to do considering the (lack of) replies I'd gotten here. I guess everyone is either scared off by the price... or Hurst and the Ripper pretty much have the lion's share of the market locked up tight.
Anyone else with experience is welcome to chime in...

The Ripper was too notchly and required to much effort to shift. The throw on the Breathless is the same but is smoother and less notchy. I like the fact that you can swap the springs out. I have the soft springs in which I like the most. The quality is much better as well.

I got a chance to check out Ernies shifter at the Labor Day bash. Very high quality shifter. With the straight stick on, it felt just like my Ripper. BUT, with the angled shaft, it was killer. I think you can make it more comfortable because of the ability to adjust the shaft around to suit your style.

:seeya I've got one. Angled shaft. It rocks. I had a small problem in that the infernal demon key wouldn't go back in it. I'm just using a jam nut with my stock **** until I decide on which aftermarket **** I want. You get 3 sets of springs with it and the soft springs worked the best for me. Short, precise shifts and adjustable 16 ways (at least).
