Re: HELP! Problem lowering! (NassyVette)
Front, when I lower the jack everything stays together. I have the sway bar bolt undone and out of the way, and the lower a arm nut is off. I've tried to pry it down with no luck.

Some other guys with the same problem have unbolted the upper A-arm to accomplish this instead.

That is what I had to do. There is a similar thread from a week or 2 ago where I went in a little more detail. Do a search if you need additional info.

Re: HELP! Problem lowering! (thegypsie)
That's the way to do it, pull the 4 bolts out on the upper a-arm, and let it all fall back, then it's real simple! :yesnod:

Don't forget the shock, I believe it takes a 13 mm nut and bolt

I had the shock un-bolted also.
I got everything off by taking out the upper a-arm bolts. It was a job, but everything is back together.
Thanks for the help guys!

Re: HELP! Problem lowering! (FRC21)
All you need to do is take another jack and a piece of wood and jack up the leaf spring a little bit (be careful to get just the wood touching the spring).. THEN, just reach in there and turn the adjuster by the rubber on the bottom (or if its dirty and stuck, use a wrench on the top). DO NOT un-bolt ANYTHING!! After you un-bolt and re-bolt, you probably better get the alignment checked. It should be about a 15minute job, including washing your hands .
Gary :)
