Default paul siragusa radiator fans

2003 C5 if engine fans come on at 226 degrees is that to hot to run at and would it worp head and if so can a dealer reset computer to run cooler

As I was told, the fan temps (on-off) were designed to maximize the EPA mandates. When I run HPDE's my water temps are in the 250-260 range after 20 minutes. What is really important is you oil temps, they can easily get to 280+ when running on road courses and up to 260 when autocrossing. For most of the city-country-freeway driving they never get above 235 and usually around 225. So it is no big deal to see 230 deg water temps, if you want them to cool off turn on the AC or put on the heater
