Default Summit balancer

Ordered a Summit balancer for my 02 base vette, with 6 rib pulleys.
Received new balancer today, and installed fine, hub is the right size, however upon checking for alignment, noticed that the pulley is 8 rib. I cross checked the part number and it comes back to c6 model, but summit says they are a crossover part.
Any opinions? They are both the same diameter, just 2 extra ribs on the primary pulley.

It works just fine. The belt has to be either all the way forward or all the way back, i cant remember which. I have run one for 4 years without issues.

I don't trust Summit much anymore for C5 parts. Ordered a balancer from them for my 2000 and it was to large in diameter. Ordered a starter and is was not a direct bolt on, the wiring was all reversed on the solenoid. They seem to do a better job on fox body cars/ and first gen small block chevy.
