Does the driver's side power seat switch require removal of the seat in order to replace? Is it possible the dealer can inspect and if a loose contact, fix that.
GM #12135159. This switch is hard to find but I located a new one. Takes a month to get here. Certainly looking for the inexpensive way out, but if it's just a loose contact I don't want to buy the switch.
I didn't take the bezel and switch off with the seat in the car, but it does just unscrew from the outside of the seat so it should be possible to access without removing the seat. To remove the switch bezel, there is a screw at the front of the seat and another under the seat back handle.
You need to remove the clip holding the recline lever. Pull it away from the seat a little bit and you can see the clip down on the shaft. Once the lever is off, there are two Phillips screws holding the switch assembly on. You'll need a short screwdriver if the seat is still in the car. I used a right angle driver for the one on the side and a stubby for the one on the front. The switches are interchangeable.
