2.38 gear ratio?

Default 2.38 gear ratio?
Counting the teeth on the ring and pinion I get 43 and 18 and dividing Them i get 2.38 ? That's my gear ratio? Case show 3:15 so some must have swapped them out at some point?

I don't have the car, just the diff. Who would put 2.38's in there?

Somebody running high speed events to get their top speed up perhaps? Only good (?) reason I can offer.

Nope.
Auto options were 2.73 and 3.15
All stick cars including the Z were 3.42

Yea, bought a diff that's supposed to be 3.15 ratio but turns out that's not what was inside
