Coolant amount
I just replaced all the coolant in My C5 Turns out I have an aftermarket radiator (different drain ****) The water that was in there was clear when drained. I shut drain **** and proceeded to add 1 gallon of straight Dexcool then added 1 gallon water. Ran it up to 220 and thats all the coolant it will take! Is this normal?

Yeah, if it has plastic end tanks its more than likely a factory unit which means the cooling system capacity is about 12 quarts. With my cars I always flush and refull the coolant multiple times while running the engine after each refill (so coolant gets out of the heater/block) until the flushed coolant runs clear then add 1/2 the system capacity in Dex and top off with clear drinkable water. Brings the concentration right to 50%.
