well this is kind of a complicated yet simple answer.
I would not reccommend anything over a 285-35 on the back
In reality you can fit a huge tire on that wheel but it is very dagerous and will make your vette handle like a wallowing pig.
I have personally seen a guy with a mustang :rolleyes: :rolleyes: put a 335-30-17 on a 9 inch wide wheel. Crazy.. yes.. but u can get it to fit.
Just remember.. keep the tire as "flat" as possible from one sidewall to the next. This insures u get a wide contact patch, and better handling charachteristics, as the tire will be less proned to distort under cornering and such. I run a 10' inch wheel on the front with a 265 to give it a nice stretch and creat that "flat" i mentioned earlier. Same with the back
On the opposide end of it.. if you put too much tire on too little of rim, it will cause the tire to "crown" and will wear out the center of the tread prematurely and make the car handle like azz.

I'm in the process of putting 265/40/17's on the front and 295/35/18's on teh back. Others confirmed they fit. Z06 size with Z06 wheels (17x9.5 and 18x10.5). With the stock wheels, not sure.
