I'm in trouble! CEL/CAT/O2
Just bought an '02 with 21k miles...I love it...after 40 miles, CEL on...
Situation: Long tube headers, aftermarket CAT's (2) small ones...
factory CAT back...I can't pass emissions. CAT Below Efficiency CEL...
I read about O2 Simulators, both good & bad comments on whether they work... The dealership where I thought I was buying an unmolested C5, cleared the CEL & sticker slapped it...
Question: I'd like to keep the headers... I need direction so I can move forward....Keep in mind that the headers are long tube...so not sure if there is room to install the forward CAT's....what do I do?

find someone who tunes and pay them to delete the rear o2 codes and make sure they set them so that the readiness monitors will show "ready" that way you can pass emissions... that is the easiest way in my opinion, you don't have to get the car in the air or do any kind of mechanical work and it should only take a few minutes
