Default electrical issue question

I recently bought a 98 couple, when I first got it had weird issues going on with the dic display, I think this was caused by low battery voltage issues. I haven't had any problems since I started driving it on a daily basic. after doing some reading there is a lot of mention of water leaking onto the computer in the passenger floor area. I do need to clean the a/c drain. But would using a quality die electric on the connections going to the computer help with water causing issues? I would think that if the connectors had the di-electric grease in them it wouldn't let water inside of the connectors. Has anybody tried this and if so did it help? I just haven't seen much mention of doing this. I would also think that you could make a separate enclosure to go over the control modules to help protect them from water intrusion. I do realize that water shouldn't be getting in there to begin with. I was just thinking it would be an extra protective measure that would help and not take much to do. what is everybody's thoughts?

Ok thanks, I was just wondering about the di-electric grease and improving the water resistance to the actual module. I'm pretty sure I need to clean my a/c drain. I don't get water on the floor when I drive it in the rain but I do notice a little wetness when I run the a/c constantly.
