If your car has Active Handling and you cannot enable "Competitive Mode" and you have the PCM reprogrammed with the HyperTech Power Programmer Plus, I'd first use the HyperTech PPP to restore the stock programming. Then I'd test to see if you can get Competitive Mode. If the problem goes awary, then there is some conflict between AH and the PPP.
Check the center console button and see if it's labeled "Active Handling" or "Traction Control". Active Handling was optional in 2000 so you might not even have it in your car.
As far as I know, the Hypertech does not affect Active Handling in any way.
I have active handling on my 1998 coupe, Compitition Mode works just fine along with the Hypertech III. My 98 has to be "not" moving to engage the Compition mode.
Thanks for the replies all. after closer inspection and self evaluation It appears that I only have Traction control and no active handling. there is no labeling on my console and it took a while to realize what it was. Boy have I alot to Learn!!!!!  :bb
