my c5 of 2002 had wrong (too low) measurements on the tpms sensors. At my tire shop they exchanged them for universal european sensors but no information exchange was the result. My local dealer said that only the Original GM sensors will work, on the after marked I bought 4 ACDelco 25773946, no way of getting them relearned on the car, I ordered another so called Original tpms but they send me a sensor that wasn't pictured, I received an ITM 315Mhz tpms P/N08002HP,no result with the magnet activation on the car.
By inquiering more information they proposed to inflate up to 330kPa and deflate in de learning mode until the horn would confirm, that didn't happen...
What is your advice in this matter? Luc from Belgium.
to 8VETTE7, local time 18.44, I write down the frequency on my keyless entry:433.92MHz that is surely different of 315Mhz. Where can I buy tpms's with that specification?
Thanks for your technical advice, I have tried the learning procedure as on YouTube and deflated my tire with no result. I will find out if there are still correct replacement sensors for sale, kind regards
Do a search for "Schrader EZ sensors". These are supposed to be multi frequency/universal sensors that will replace a wide variety of sensors across all auto makers.
If you can't find new sensors for the Corvette with the correct European frequency it is possible to rebuild the old sensors provided it is only a dead battery in the sensor. Do a search for TPMS battery replacement or TPMS rebuild.
Siemens VDO make many sensors which operate at 433.92MHz. I would check with them and see if they make one that is compatible with the C5 Corvette.
