Problem started when passenger side wouldn't unlocck from inside. Two days later driver side wouldn't unlock with key fob (unlocked with key). I can hear locks trying to unlock when problems occur. The problems have been intermittent for the last few days. Any advice would be appreciated.

i get this a lot. My theory is the driver's side door wiring that causing the problems. I haven't tackled it yet since it's not on the priority list.
If the voltage is 12.5 or less then the battery is low or going bad.
i know these cars are sensitive to battery voltage, but 12.5 is still a perfectly acceptable reading. i definitely wouldn't call it low and wouldn't replace a battery based on voltage alone.
Voltage at 12.45V. Is this low enough cause the intermittent problems?
generally 12.45 would be fine. i'm not sure what the "threshold" would be on our cars though since lower voltage causes so many issues. someone here with greater c5 experience should be able to say for sure though.

I would have the battery fully charged ( should be able to get it to 12.7 or more if the battery is good) and see if it retains the charge by re-measuring the voltage in a few days.
Believe me when I say the electronics in these cars is very fussy on voltage levels. The C5 electronics were designed in the early 1990's and the voltage cut off levels in the technology used is MUCH higher than in the electronics of todays newer cars.............
