Fuel tanks
I'm looking at buying a fuel tank but keep getting 2 part numbers for a bottom/side installed pump. 10310516 and 12459859
The 12459859 is what gm says fits my car by vin, and doesn't show another interchange. The 10310516 is what I can find.
I don't need it to install into my car but I need it to be the same pump mounting/ placement. And idea?

as far as I know the 97-98 tanks are the same, 99-mid 03 (pump in the bottom side) are the same, and the late 03-04 (pump in the top) tank is the same... I'm not sure on the part numbers but if you know what your tank looks like you can match it up pretty easily... obviously the pump location is a dead giveaway but if you are unsure if it's a 97-98 or 99-mid 02 look at the top by the filler hose, the 97-98 has another rubber hose directly above the filler hose and the 99-mid 02 does not have this hose and instead has what appears to be a vacuum line with a snap connector on the end of it

yes they are all located on the bottom side until the later 03 and up tanks that switched to the top mounted pumps
