Default Input shaft question?

Is the input to the clutch end of the torque tube the same for manual trans as auto trans 97-04 cars?

Thanks

Mark.

Found out that I can go with a C6 shaft/T-O bearing. Thanks to those that gave me that info.

Well info I was given was completely wrong... Sorry to say they are one of the more reputable venders. So off to the machine shop to see if they can repair the original input.

I have replaced mine as it was slightly bent. Killed my pilot bearing.

The new units from a C6 are the same part number as the C5 but the design is slightly more robust to resist bending at the tip. Paid $480 then bought bearings and GM couplers (not the crappy BMW ones) so all together I'm $860 into parts on this TT.

Here's a pic of my old one (with the bearing still on) and the new one.
