My 18 year old Fluidyne radiator has a few small leaks that started last year. Tired of that faint smell of antifreeze, so purchased a 2-core locally here in Chicago from ECP for $250. I guess time will tell how how good it is. Fluidyne doesn't make a direct fit, I would have to send in the old and they would duplicate it, kind of a hassle. Also on the Fluidyne, the fans were connected with allen screws, pita. Other choice would be Dewitts or Ron Davis. With ECP so close I figured I'd take a chance and the man said if there is ever an issue just bring it back, life time warranty, just don't modify it. So here's a few pis and hopefully I won't have to post about this for another 15 years or so.
Took the car on a nice highway cruise, 92* air temp, doing about 75-80mph for two hours, stock thermostat, coolant temp 196*, oil temp 203* ( I have liquid/liquid oil cooler), all looks good and no leaks/smell. Seems same as Fluidyne numbers.
Just a FYI update, autocrossing at tire rack, 85* air temp, max coolant temp noticed 205*, max oil temp 225*, 8 runs back to back with about 4 minutes between runs, x-2, my son drove also in the second group. Hopefully get to a road track soon.
Do you happen to have a tune to lower fan speed? Do radiators really reduce water temperature that much? Mine will run 215-225 idling in the staging area between runs, A/C on to kick the fan on earlier. I did a thorough cleaning of the radiator about 2 months ago.

I am sure a 2-tube radiator will reduce temps, by how much, I do not know. My car had aftermarket when I bought it so I can't compare to original. My old, Fluidyne, and new, ECP, seem the same and just posting what I observed. For the oil cooling, a Mocal, Laminar Flow Oil to Water Heat Exchanger. Rad. at: https://www.speedcooling.com/ I think fan speeds are stock, has a tune but never looked into it or fan settings.

Reason: fan setting note
After finding a hair-line crack in the original 18 year old radiator, I was shopping for a replacement this morning. Came across this thread and decided I'll step up for an all aluminum replacement. Just sent in an order for a new ECP radiator. Thanks for taking the time to share your results.

Thanks, post up your thoughts after the install. Went drag racing last weekend, it was about 76* out, temps of car were about street driving temps. Slow day with half hour to forty minutes between runs, plenty time to cool. I was hoping to do 5 or 6 runs in a row, as in the past, but a no go. Heck, my clutch didn't even give me problems with sticking, usually a result of hot runs. Another thing when I installed the new radiator, I took the drain **** out and installed an anode rod, ECP had them 2 for $10, Fluidyne suggested that with their new radiators, so giving it a try.
