Here is my version of Daytime Running Light deletion for my '02 Z. I plan to never undo this mod, so mine is permanent unless I buy new relays.
There are two other common methods on the boards:
- pull fuse 2
- pull relay and add jumper
The fuse method causes error light, at least on the later cars
The jumper method requires making a jumper and may not be robust. jumpers are more likely to fallout etc.
So, looking at this schematic, I decided to just eliminate the DRL switch component of the circuit. The DRL low current side and BCM function normally, so no codes are thrown.
Pull relays 38 & 40
Cut off terminal 87 & clean up.
