Default Is this normal for LS7 Lifters?

Hi all! Well, I ordered these LS7 lifters from fleabay, from a seller who had really good feedback and ratings. They came in a white cardboard box, with a stick on style label, with the correct GM part number. They are packaged two to a bag, in small ziplock baggies. Below are a couple of pics of one of the lifters, and many more have similar defects. Could these be seconds/rejects? Pretty skeptical about running these. I'm running a fairly mild lift cam, Comp's XFI281, 228/230@.050, 571/573. Everything I've read says that stock LS7 lifters should be fine with this cam, but if this is an example of the LS7 lifters, I'm not so sure.

Thanks, guys, for confirming my suspicions. I thought maybe I was just being overly critical. I guess the "get what you pay for" adage still holds true. I'm well past the return date, so I guess they're a write off. The body sides look fine, as do the rollers. I'm thinking maybe they're seconds, or as has been suggested, knock-offs. Now the question is, REAL LS7's, Morels, or Johnson's? I've read posts till my eyes hurt, trying to figure out which have the least potential for failure. With the cam I'm running, I'm sure they're all up to the task, I'm just not sure which will be the most reliable. I'm not trying to turn this into a "which lifter" post, just mainly thinking (and griping) out loud. However, if anyone has experience, good or bad, with any of the above lifters, I'd be glad to hear them.

I would go with the Morels or Johnson's if your looking to upgrade, the ls7's aren't really an upgrade, what's wrong with your current lifters?

If I go with the Morels, I'm looking at the 5315's, the street rollers. Been trying to find their limitations as far as lift and RPM, but seeing some conflicting info.
Current lifters were LS2 replacements back in 2005, when I did my current H/C setup. That was 12 years and probably 50-60K miles ago. That cam was a little more aggressive on lift, at 581/588, and Patriot gold double springs. The years and mileage have taken their toll, and the lifters mushroomed, and one roller skidded. Lots of rough lobes, but only small amount of light scratches on the oil pump, a few small pieces in the pan and the pickup screen, and nothing in the filter. I think I dodged the bullet.
