LSXperts cam?
I like the sound of their "Shake and Bake" cam. The question is for those with direct experience with the LSXperts cams.
Which one do you have? Stage 2/3/Shake and Bake etc.
Does the car sound like you have a cam in it?
What exhaust set up? LTs, cat back, xpipe?
What transmission do you have?
How are the manners in a parking lot or stop n go traffic?
Would your wife be comfortable driving it?
Reliability/longevity?
Change in fuel economy?
Please also feel free to add any other relevant comments.
Thanks in advance for sharing your experience.

Op no clue on this but expect to have to do supporting mods, mpg taking a dive + your woman probaby complaining it isnt quiet and smooth
It's a full package with new timing set, springs, pushrods, oil pump etc. Loud not a problem!
just my .02 cents

I have a 236/240 .630/.630 111lsa cam in mine(with Trickflows and a FAST). Smaller, mellower cams can have different/better results...
1. Fuel economy is worse than stock. Lost 3-4 MPG approx.
2. Valve springs need to be replaced every 30k miles or so. Maintenance goes up with any camshaft. I check under valve covers occasionally, run better oil etc etc, however, I've done nothing but drive the hell out of it for 2+ years.
3. Gotta drive around parking lot manners(i.e. little more/less clutch and throttle). Low speed, turning and braking with no throttle can get the car to hiccup and want to stall. Can probably tune it out but its really not a big deal. Took a few drives to figure out what the new set up liked.
4. Wife hates the car cause it blows the tires off at 80mph, which is why I love it and I couldn't care less about the above. Its an animal 3-7k RPM.
5. Sounds absolutely filthy at idle. Car shakes. People pop their phones out the windows and take videos pretty damn often.

Not running a drag radial.. car is lowered on 4 yr old Michelin PS2's. Desert highways are probably slick compared to areas close to the coast or that get more than an inch of rain per year haha
Higher RPM roll in 3rd(70-80mph) it'll haze the tires, especially when weather is cold. Nitrous on the street with street tires? 3rd is worthless...it'll spin as long and as fast as your willing to go.
Anyway I totally understand none of that is indicative on how fast or slow my car is. Its more a **** set up than anything, my point wasn't comparing weiner size...only the upside of building the motor, outweighs the negatives

As someone stated above, the 3K-7K RPM is a lot of fun..... although the rev limiter kicks in at about 6800....
I ran an autocross on Saturday. I ran the whole thing in first gear to take advantage of the torque, one thing I did have to learn is management of said torque. It was pretty easy in some circumstances to spin the tires while at speed.

As for cost, it was $4k for the catted LTs and the cam work including all parts necessary to do it right.
The cam was $2550 and the LTs $1450.
