Re: LG Motorsports 418 Solid Roller is in (rfgoss1)
Nice numbers,What rpm does it make peak HP and TQ?.I think the LS6 intake is the restriction here,Cartek talked me out of going with a solid roller set up for now,due to the lack of an intake that can keep up with the high rpm capability of a solid roller, they didn't feel there was a need to spin the motor to 7000rpm's with a restrictive intake.Cartek is doing some R&D for a custom short runner intake, when it comes out I'll change to a solid roller cam and C5R heads and shoot for 575 RWHP,for now I'm happy with my 523RWHP hydraulic roller set up.Good Luck with it,I hope you didn't bend any valves on your missed shift, the loss of power doesn't sound good.

Thanks. I will post the dyno sheet soon. I don't have a copy here so I can't say. But it makes over 400 RWTQ at around 2800 rpm. I am not spinning it to 7K. We have the motor set up to make peak power below 6700. I don't fancy rebuilding this thing soon. I think the intake is the problem too and I am looking for an affordable sheetmetal intake. The Solid really ramps fast and is a real hoot to drive. Lou is building a 427 with the C5R block right now and I am very anxious to see what it makes.
Cheers

What was the price on something like that!!!I was thinking of going to the same size and a solid roller !!Also if you want to work a deal on the 3.73 I can send you some 3.42's and some $$$$$.
Re: LG Motorsports 418 Solid Roller is in (RCswish)
Yes I will spray it once we get the Racetronix installed. It will like the spray but I don't know if I can shift fast enough. This thing revs so fast now its scary.

Godspeed, did yall disable that COT stuff in ls1edit? Just looking at the A/F ratio and how it richened up a bit around 5500.
It's needs bigger injectors and then a fuel pump for the nitrous. That pull was at an unsafe 14.0:1 so we added some race gas. When I tune it I'll try disabling the COT and get AFR's to 13.0:1. Hopefully she'll do 525-530RWHP through full exhaust. :yesnod:

 on what looks to be a real bad as ss engine and mid to high 10 second naturally aspirated Z06! There is no beating a naturally aspirated solid roller LS1 big cube stroker imho! I assume that this block is a resleeved aluminum LS6 block or is it an iron block?

Yes and yes. Mr. Goss here does not mess around. :yesnod:
I drove the car and was startled by the raw power even after already owning a 600+ RWHP twin turbo car.
I will tune the car for 650RWHP on the spray and with practice Randy will join the Elite in the 9's at 145MPH. :yesnod:

Thanks for your comments. Yes, its a sleeved LS6 block.

Yes that run was lean. We did have several identical runs where the mixture was not as lean. We were trying different injectors and computers because we didn't have a custom tuned computer for the car. Once the computer comes back, the 36# injectors and the fuel pump will go in.

Re: LG Motorsports 418 Solid Roller is in (Superj)
Thanks everybody,
And thanks to Randy for giving us the opportunity to build him a great engine. Randy has never gone short on anything that we do with his car. As a Tuner, we can only hope for customers to give us the jobs that make us look this good.
Re: LG Motorsports 418 Solid Roller is in (LG Motorsports)
Very nice numbers, must be incredably fun to drive. One question about the solid roller setup, how often does it need to be adjusted to keep everything running right?
Hope your motor is okay after the missed shift, my car is at Cartek right now for that same reason.

Enjoy it!
They will need to be adjusted about once every three months. Depending on the miles. IN the beginning they may need it a little more often, will have to see.
Thanks
