I'm looking for any ideas and knowledge on how to lock my crank pulley that I just pinned in place so I can torque the crank bolt down. I've already torqued the bolt down with the impact gun. I was only able to get the bolt off with the gun and back on with the gun, but I worry about not knowing what the torque is without putting a torque bar on it. But, since the car is an automatic, I don't have the same advantage as manual guys.
Any help would be appreciated. I've not been able to find any tools that help on this c5 pulley.

since it is pinned you will probably be ok just using the impact... if you have the car in the air you can remove the starter and buy a flywheel holding tool or have someone hold it with a pry bar while you torque it... maybe a strap wrench if you can get it to hold tight enough

They make a little device that locks your flywheel. You have to remove the starter and it bolts in place of it. Very small metal brace looking device. Do a search for LS Flywheel Locking tool. You'll see it. Its about $35 or so. There's also plenty of other methods.
Here is a link to the method I used on my 2001 A4. It worked great and I would use the method any time I needed to hold the crankshaft to remove or replace the balancer.
