I have 2001 z06--every about 25 starts--put key in- go to on--dash lights flicker and fuel pump kicks in--takes about 3-4 seconds-total time-turn key to start--fires right up?? NO codes--battery cables tight--grounds tight--maybe ignition switch?

Might be ignition switch, might be starter solenoid getting lazy and if you have headers might be the connections at the starter solenoid. Common issue with headers is that the wires at the starter solenoid get fried and/or the bolt that hold the positive battery cable onto the solenoid loosens up due to the extremes of heat cycles.
Thx for the reply--no headers stock car with 10,000 miles--seems like the car acts up after driven and its hot here in vegas--always fires right up first thing in am--Also when i do put key in and go all the way right to start car--about every 30 starts or so it clicks like no juice--i take key out -put in and starts right up--

Measure the voltage across the battery posts with a digital multi meter. Needs to be 12.7 to 12.9 volts or more if the battery is fully charged. Don't bother with the dash gauge readings. They report the state of health of the charging system and NOT the state of health of the battery. With engine running you are seeing approximately the output voltage of the alternator. With engine OFF and key ON the reading is pretty meaningless as there are many electrical circuits in the C5 that place a load on the battery with key ON.
I just took a reading yesterday am--12.73 volts and battery has been load tested--everything good---if you had to guess what would you say could likely be the problem?
Thx 8vette7--im sure your right about starter sol. or ign switch--anyway i can live with it as i know it starts everytime the second time when it acts up--just another c5 gremlin-
To follow uo and let everyone know results--it was the Ignition Switch--some black spots ect on the switch connections--new ac delco switch-everything good to go-
