Hello. I have read through countless threads, post, forums, etc to fix the problem I have. The problem is that through driver side vents it is cool and passenger is constantly hot. Now I have stripped down the whole entire dash to fix this problem. First I tried resetting the fuses, no luck. I went onto the dash to access and replace the actuators. Getting to both of them and taking them apart it was only one of the gears cracked. I 3D printed new gears for the actuators replaced them and put them back only to find my problem hadn't been fix. I am positive that the problem is the actuators or HVAC controller because I can see, with the dash completely removed, the actuator doors not operating properly. I tried resetting the fuse for the HVAC controller again and no luck. I hooked the actuators into 12v power source to make sure the new gears work by the way and they do. I do not know at this point what to do. My only guesses are to buy two new actuators which are the automatic ones, part number 16163682, or buy a new HVAC head unit. If someone has any ideas on how to further fix this problems that would be great thank you.

First thing, I am not a electrical expert. But I do things that sometimes work without knowing why. I had the same issue you did with one side not working and the other side working. I had read a previous post that someone just kept pushing the inside/outside air buttons several times then everything started working right. I tried it and it worked for me and has been over 2 years. Give it a try. Nothing to lose. Happy 4th.
