Help Vibration / Some shaking during acceleration?
Backround:
The car is a A4 2002 procharged. I recently added bigger 305/35/18 rear tires and have been spirited running it alot. Don't know if this would be the cause or not. How can I diagnose the problem weather tranny or driveline issues or possible couplers etc.
I did smell a slight burn (rubber smell). No noises or leaking under car just abnormal bad vibration shaking during acceleration. Ideas, advice Thanks Chris

OK, I just started it, like it labored to start, it's like it lost power or something, Battery fully charged. The car is like put put put. Not normal Low rpms during idle. But before, I took it 30 miles away no problem. I did a hard acceleration pull, now all this? Any other ideas, I am desperate for answers before I have to spend $$$ tomorrow. THanks Chris

hmm, have you pulled the codes?... sounds like something might be causing the engine to run rough and is unrelated to the new tires
Yea no codes, I did remove the abs/tcs because I was using a lightweight battery and did not want the drain on the battery. Plus I don't even have tcs abs to begin with but for some reason it was hooked up.
Maybe its me but when I removed it,the car felt like it had more power. Don't know how much timing is pulled from the tcs/abs system but the car felt stronger.
It feels like a spark plug or plug wire is out, but would that make it shake? My tune is right on. Maybe I need to check the plugs? Always use 93 octane. I just checked all connections and plugs everything is tight.
Just rolled thru the gears in the A4 no abnormal noises goes in r,n,d etc.

no kidding, maybe the people viewing this were also having a similar issue and seeing if they could find the answer instead of creating another thread... glad you got it figured out though and if it happens again at least you know it isn't the tires, axles, or torque tube causing the misfire

oh no you had to figure it out all on your own?? if your gonna be an *** about it why don't try diagnosing it by yourself in the first place.
The whole point is that this is a discussion forum, for others who maybe had similar problems could possibly help in this situation.
If I had help some else diagnose this, then I guess I done my part and glad to help them.
