no horn working c5(1998)..

Mechanic replaced the horn membrane/bladder behind the air bag on the steering wheel.. Followed the forum's threads on this replacement of the horn membrane.. The membrane was replaced but still no horn.. The failure of the horn started after the various problems noted from forum members who experienced a lost horn.. Are there any other things I need to look for to get a horn back
