I had the familiar B0361 and B0441 so I pulled the actuators expecting to see the cracked white plastic gear on a metal shaft. Instead I find this. P/N is 52402588 and it's a 2004 car. Does anyone have any experience with these units and know what might be wrong with them before I chuck them in the trash and spend mucho dinero on new ones?
I've had the codes for a while but noticed yesterday that when on "AUTO" AC mode, the drivers side would blow hot when in the mode where it draws in outside air and would blow cold when in recirculation mode. I tried reindexing the black gear a couple of teeth and I tried cleaning all of the grease off of the potentiometer and its contacts attached to the bottom of the black gear. No dice. I've read that the OP AMP in these units is prone to going bad so I just ordered two new Delco ones off of Ebay for $50 each. We'll see if that fixes it.

If not already done, try disconnecting the battery neg for about 3 minutes. Then attach. This help with my issue similar to yours.
B0361 and B0441 will pop up as history codes until 100 key cycles even if there is no issue. I recently changed my battery so I had to disconnect the positive terminal. When I reconnected it I could hear the actuators re-initializing themselves and I got those codes. My AC is fine so I expect they will be gone once the requisite number of key cycles has passed.

Press and hold the reset button while looking at the codes and it will wipe out all code for that module. If the codes come back, even with an "H", there's still a problem.
I just put two new actuators in my car and all of the codes are gone. I think the OP AMPs in the old ones were shot cause I tried everything else.
