good afternoon folks I just recently purchased a 99 automatic coupe 5.7 from a friend of mine it suffered water damage in a flood 2 weeks ago had water up to seat bottoms removed and dried everything does not crank over with ignition has fuel pressure no crank over no power windows no radio headlites wipers signals work bcm was under water for a short time any suggestions thanks Jason.
I work on lots of C5 electrical issues but a car that recently had water up to the seat bottoms means that the IP Fuse box as well as the BCM, Serial Data Buss Star Connectors and more were under water. Not something I would take on via posts on the Forum...
Good luck isolating the damage that was done by the water.......
I'm gonna give it a try, really need some electrical diagrams to start with fuse box did well so far cleaned and looks good for now time will tell. thanks
You're going to need a lot of info. GL with your project. If I were you, I'd do a search for a 1999 Service Manual. If you'll do a Google search for "1999 service manual c5 corvette" you'll see that you can get the actual manuals for around $100 (usually can find those for sale here on CF in the For Sale section too) and there is an online manual (PDF I suspect) that you can get for about $30. You're going to have to get one of those to get the electrical diagrams you need. Keep us updated.
