Default 1998 led lights

I installed the LED lights on my 1998 Corvette. I used a transformer for each rear light. They blink at a normal pace when using the directionals with the lights off; however, when you turn the lights on, they blink much faster when using the directionals. When the headlights and other lights are off or not in use, they flash at a steady, normal pace. Can someone tell me what I need to do or what I did wrong when installing the rear LED lights, please?

I'm not an electrical expert but I do manage to stumble along usually with success. I'm on my second c5 that I've switched out almost every light to LED. In both cases I use a hyper flash harness to eliminate the problem rather than individual resistors. According to what I've read by experts, LED's cause hyperflash because they draw so much less power that the module thinks there's a low voltage situation like a burned out bulb. I'm guessing that a similar problem exists for you when the rest of the system is drawing, and less voltage is perceived for the tail lights.
On my Z, I did leave regular bulbs in the tail lights and the harness worked perfectly. In my pewter coupe now, every exterior bulb except the headlights are LED. For some reason, the only time I get hyperflash is when I turn on the emergency flashers. I don't think its worth worrying about so I just leave it all alone. Hope this helps a little bit.

Thanks so much. I ordered a harness and will give it a try. Do you think I can leave the resistors, or would it hurt the overall function of the harness?

Mark, I think that question has been around, and I'm not sure of the answer. I don't know if redundant resistance would be a problem.
8Vette7, thanks, I appreciate the help.
