Default Engine Oil Temperature

2001 vert, completely stock. Is an oil temperature of 216 degrees F too high after driving 50 mi with outside temp. @ 96 degrees? Coolant @ 198 and transmission @ 218.

Not if you're running synthetic.

I have a 2001 Z06 running fully synthetic Redline full synthetic oil and running around in town and having a little fun, my temperatures reach 225-230 at times...Kinda worries my, but I hear its completely normal temperatures under hard acceleration. If I'm on the interstate it runs around 210-216 on a hot 90 degree day. May get an aftermarket oil cooler for piece of mind down the road.

210-220 is normal, you're fine to 250 with synthetic
